Shelby Marcoccia
MSW, RSW
Shelby is a registered social worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers and is covered under most EFAP insurance providers. Shelby has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Waterloo, along with Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degrees from the University of Calgary and University of Lethbridge, respectively. She has additional training in working with those who have experienced trauma and is currently completing a Trauma Certificate with Wilfrid Laurier University. Shelby has completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is qualified to practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Shelby’s professional background includes working as an addiction and mental health counsellor, supporting adults with developmental disabilities, and several years working for the public service.

She utilizes mindfulness and a strength based, client centered and trauma informed approach to walk with those seeking counselling on their journey of healing, change and recovery.
